Did you know that your personality can be determined by your color
preference? It sounds rather bizarre to me, but yet, I don’t disagree
Some times I make my own evaluations from colors people choose, not
that they are scientifically based, or are accurate, but come on, don’t
you make those assumptions as well?
A red sports car drives past you, did you notice it so vividly because
it was a sporty car, or because it was red?
Someone is wearing a bright yellow shirt at a funeral service, do you
start to wonder if they are being respectful of the deceased?
Why do anesthesiologist wear green?
Why do people in prison have to wear orange?
There was a time when fashion said, don’t wear a brown suit to an
interview or you will appear unsuccessful.
Why is it unfashionable to wear a white dress in the winter?
Why do you chose the colors you do for your clothes? I love to wear
black, gray, red and orange. Usually I end up wearing black in some
form everyday. It’s just a great color to me.
We make choices all the time based on color, but have you wondered why
you pick the colors you do?
Below are 3 color tests I found online, and took today. The first two
I showed my results for you. The 3rd was very in-depth and a lot of it
was true, but some parts I did not think were accurate for me.
I have provided the links for you if you wish to take the tests for yourself.

This morning, I was on a four-lane highway, driving to Best Buy. For about a half-mile there were warning signs… “Road Blocked Off”, “Do Not Pass”.
As I waited in the correct line, along with other drivers, vehicles were flying past us in the forbidden lane.
Way up ahead in the distance, I could see these vehicles pulling in-front of the line.
I thought to myself, what is the school of thought going on in those driver’s minds?
Did they feel an accomplishment to move ahead of others by cheating and cutting in line?
Did they feel their time was more important than those people whom they did not know?
Could they possibly have not seen the many road signs of warning?
These are questions I will never know the answer to, but I wonder if that is how they operate in their every day affairs.
Can you feel good about stepping on others to get to where you want to be?
Do you live your life with the attitude, you are more important than anyone else?
“Let us so live that when we come to die even the undertaker will be sorry.”
“I shall pass this way but once; any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.”
Étienne de Girêllet
“Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.
Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself,
taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.”
Philippians 2:3-8 (NASB)

One day they went hunting and along the way a wild animal attacked the
king. His slave managed to kill the animal, but could not prevent his
majesty losing a finger.
Furious and without showing his gratitude for being saved, the nobleman
said “Is God good? If He was good, I would not have been attacked and
lost my finger.”
The slave replied only “My king, despite all these things, I can only
tell you that God is good, and he knows the “why” of all these things.
What God does is perfect. He is never wrong!”
Outraged by the response, the king ordered the arrest of his slave.
Later, he left for another hunt and was captured by savages who made
In the altar, ready to sacrifice the noble, a savage had found that the
victim had not one of his fingers, and the king was released. According to them: it
was not so complete to be offered to the gods.
Upon his return to the palace, he authorized the release of his slave
that he received very affectionately.
– My dear, God was really good for me! I was almost killed by the wild
men, but for lack of a single finger, I was let go! But I have a
question: If God is so good, why did he allow me to put you in jail?
– My King, if I had gone with you in this hunt, I ‘would have been
sacrificed for you, because I have no missing finger.
Therefore, remember: everything God does is perfect. IT is never wrong
Often we complain about life and things that happen to us apparently negative,
forgetting that nothing is random and that everything has a purpose.
Every morning, offer your day to God.
Ask God to inspire your thoughts, guide your actions, to ease your
feelings. And do not be afraid. God is never wrong!
You know why this message is for you? I do not know, but God knows,
because he never makes mistakes…….
The path of God and his word is perfect, without impurities. IT is the
way of all those who trust in him, as he says in 2 Samuel 22: 31

Thank you Zen, for touching our lives each day! (bows humbly to Zen)
The sun setting over the ocean? The sounds, smells and sensations when you walk into “Best Buy”? Someone actually listening to what you are saying? Getting an “A” on a test? Winning a new car?
Maybe all of the above or none of them? Think about what makes YOU go, “Awe”.
Are you making any “Awes” in your life?
Have you had such a productive day at work that as you were driving home you just felt the “Awe” about yourself? Maybe the little league team you coach just won the area tournament and you were filled with “Awe”?
I am going to “Awe” myself if by November 7th I can say I have posted a blog every day for a month! I want to “Awe” myself by losing five pounds before Christmas. I also want to “Awe” myself by writing a poem!
My challenge to you today is to start making some “Awes” in your life!
You are capable of being Awesome!
So go! Get your “Awe” on, right after you read this short exerpt by Anthony De Mello!
A man found an eagle’s egg and put it in a nest of a barnyard hen. The eaglet hatched with the brood of chicks and grew up with them. All his life the eagle did what the barnyard chicks did, thinking he was a barnyard chicken. He scratched the earth for worms and insects. He clucked and cackled. And he would thrash his wings and fly a few feet into the air.
Years passed and the eagle grew very old. One day he saw a magnificent bird above him in the cloudless sky. It glided in graceful majesty among the powerful wind currents, with scarcely a beat on his strong golden wings. The old eagle looked up in awe. “Who’s that?” he asked. “That’s the eagle, the king of the birds,” said his neighbour. “He belongs to the sky. We belong to the earth – we’re chickens.” So the eagle lived and died a chicken, for that’s what he thought he was.
By actually expressing my inner inspiration, I have motivated myself to do more of the things I was slacking in. Blogging has brightened my countenance and improved my outlook. For all of you that are reading this, I want to thank you! Some of you have subscribed to my blog, some have “liked” it, and some have commented on my posts. I appreciate all of you very much.
Today is my birthday and I have been celebrating for the past few days. I am going out now to finish my final shebang, but I would like to leave you with this thought for today…
Do you want to make a difference in your life? What is something that you enjoy doing that would help you get to where you want to be? Search for your niche, if you do not already know what it is, and go out and make it happen!
Every day does make a difference. Go change your world today!
As I was cutting the grass in my front yard today, I plowed over many large ant mounts. We are having quite an outbreak in our yard recently.
It seems, no matter how many times I spray them with poison, or run over their lofty colonies, they either rebuild the same one, or go make a new one.
They don’t stop and they don’t give up!
They do not stop and say, “Hey I am tired of building this same home over and over again.” “I don’t feel like making that long hike to those grains
of sugar.” They just do it.
How persistent are you about your work and the things that you need to do on a regular basis?
Do you say, “Why should I keep cleaning this bathroom? It’s only going to get dirty again the next time it is used.”
Well maybe you’re not that slack, but I am sure you can think of something in your life that you know you should do, that you are not persistently, or consistently, doing as much, or as often, as you should.
The next time you have the thought, “Why should I keep doing this over and over again?” think of those little ants out there just trudging along and be encouraged to keep on keeping on!
There is huge difference between wanting to do something and actually doing it. There are so many goals I have for myself. I want to improve in many aspects of my life. (time management, exercise, writing, and the list goes on!)
But once you have decided what your goals are and even gone a step further and written them down, how do you get to the part where you actually work toward them? I want to go from point A to point B but somehow I never leave A. What stops me? What stops you? How do we kick that roadblock out of the way?
Well my problem is where is that roadblock? If I knew what was keeping me from moving forward I would jump over, go around or push it to the side. What impedes progress? Is it laziness? Is it a lack of wanting it? What is it?
Frankly, I don’t know what it is, but instead of saying to myself “OK tomorrow I am going to do this!”
I am now going to say: “Right now is the time to go workout!” “Right this minute I will clean out that messy closet!” Not tomorrow, because tomorrow may never come!
What in your life do you need to go from “Ummm” to “Umph”? Let’s do this! Take that goal and start today, right now!
Whenever I start a new project I am so excited about getting all the materials together for it. It is so fun to go out and buy all the items and equipment I need. In fact, sometimes that is the highlight and climax of the whole project.
Once all of my planning and purchases are made, too often my excitement is then gone and there I sit with all of my new tools of the trade, but not having the motivation or energy to go forth and complete my new endeavor. How messed up is that? But can you relate? I do this all the time over and over and especially with exercise equipment.
One of my recent “new projects” was the new Asylum workout DVDs and program kit by Shaun T.
I had completed the Insanity workout program and loved it so that when I saw the add for this one I was very excited. I immediately ordered it and looked forward to receiving it in the mail. I planned in my head how I was going to get up each morning and do my fun, new, exciting workout and how I was going to get in great shape and feel wonderful about my new, stronger, healthier, leaner body!
Well, the day arrived and UPS knocked on my door and handed me my fabulous workout kit that I had been so looking forward to receiving. I opened up the box and looked through all the pretty DVDs and the beautiful case they were in. I pulled out the training ladder and jump rope, and got those all set up and even put up the training calendar on my wall! I was going to get up the next morning and begin my new workout program.
That next morning, one thing led to another, and I never did get to my workout that day or for the next month!
Finally after about 2 months I tried it for the first time and it was tough, but a great workout. Unfortunately I did not have commitment I needed to stay consistent and I quickly fizzled out.
Have you ever had this happen with new exercise equipment or any new project?
As Shaun T says… “you need to be committed”
“It is not who I am but what I do that defines me.”
This is one of my favorite quotes and it comes from the Batman Returns movie.
Well then what is it that you do?
First off, let me say that I don’t mean this literally. This question is not asking if you play the guitar, or if you write novels, or if you have climbed the Himalayans. The “Do” in this question of mine is how do you act or conduct yourself? Batman’s response was to let it be known that one should not look upon his mask or heroic attire but to look at his conduct.
We don’t want people to judge us by our looks or our clothes or our financial wealth. We want them to look deeper and see the character behind that. That is what is truly important.
In about 30 seconds or less your brain can sum up the character of a total stranger. What do others learn from you in that thirty seconds?
A thousand words will not leave so deep an impression as one deed.
