Unconditional Love

My Jack

You let me in your heart and you loved me
without any walls,
restraints, or hesitation.

Always ready to defend me
against any perceived danger.
Ever wanting to protect.

Bringing me so much happiness
and never hiding how happy
I make you.

Your loyalty does not waver.
Content at my side.
Unconditional love.

A dog will teach you unconditional love. If you can have that in your life, things won’t be too bad.
Robert Wagner

Love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get–only with what you are expecting to give–which is everything.
Katherine Hepburn

The greatest gift that you can give to others is the gift of unconditional love and acceptance.
Brian Tracy

  1. As a total dog devotee, I just am rolling around and waving my paws in the air right now in appreciation for your poem and post today! Aren’t Jack Russell Terriors just great. We once had one as a treasured neighbor. Unconditional love (even though they really DO know about all your little quirks!)–what a blessing.

  2. a love poem (~_~) the best kind..
strong and steady stanzas, a poetry wizard (grin)
