I call you Friend

My thoughts seem far away
But I wanted to reach out,
and say,
I wish you a happy day.

Some days will be good
and some will be better.
Some days need more prayer,
to escape the fetters.

I have come to know you as friend,
you are here for me and true.
I don’t want to miss a day,
and not be here for you!

“Don’t walk behind me; I may not lead. Don’t walk in front of me; I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend.”
Albert Camus

About catlas

Just a girl who loves technology and her Apple products and who uses those cute little ā€œiā€ pad, pod, books to read, search, socialize, game, and type out her random thoughts.

  1. Cat, how honored I am to walk beside you in our blogging and writing and thinking and wishing.

  2. Cat, my friends her tell me that I am not a sweet person, I just do and say sweet things! Just goes to show, huh? Thanks always for your constant encouragement!

    • What? I find that hard to comprehend. All I know is, you are super sweet to me!

      • Actually, catlas, I have been climbing a small mountain on my personal spiritual journey this Veteran’s Day holiday weekend vis-a-vis the nature of negative and non-constructive feedback from folks around me. Your encouragement is spurring me on. My posts this week will probably reveal some of my struggles and, I hope, some of my small victories.

  3. Nice poem! I love the simplicity of it. Thanks for sharing

  4. SUCH A SWEET PICTURE—-AND THOUGHT—!!

PS —WHAT HAVE YOU AGAINST THE “FETTERS” -? JUST KIDDING–THAT IS A PRIVATE JOKE—(‘-‘)

  5. your words are wonderful and the picture is adorable… have a great day… (~_~)
