Meow, meow, meow!

At this very moment, my 11 pound cat is meowing insistently at my back glass door. He does this when he wants more food. Oh, mind you, we feed our cat plenty for his daily requirements but he insists that he needs more! I usually end up giving in to his persistent spirit. Why? Probably because his bellowing is very distracting and a bit annoying.

What is my point you ask? I admire the cat for speaking up for what he wants and being persistent about it. If you have something on your mind that you feel strongly about, you should say it to whomever you need to convey that message to. I am not advocating complaining or whining or speaking unkind words. I am referring to holding words in that keep us from being at peace with ourselves.

There are a lot of lessons we can learn from animals and children, because they don’t hold back. They let us know what they want, what they like, and they are very clear about it. I wonder if there is something in your heart that you long to be heard? I encourage you to speak it!

Just a girl who loves technology and her Apple products and who uses those cute little โ€œiโ€ pad, pod, books to read, search, socialize, game, and type out her random thoughts.

  1. Meow, meow, meow! I want more blogs!!!! *grin*

  2. I love this post and I have a cat that does the very same thing, here’s my problem. Where I work (at a prison) you can not speak your mind/ or allow me to rephrase that, you can if your ready to except a disciplinary along with what you felt so strongly about. Today there are laws being put in place that doesn’t quite take your right to freedom of speech away but allows those offended to sue you if you use certain words. It gets complicated, however those with a clever thought process (hummmm, any one we know?) can use the loop holes to speak their mind if the right things are said. (grin) anyhow, this post hit on a very good topic that I have been dancing with for weeks.(~_~) bows humble

  3. MEOW—MEOW—-MEOW—-I WANT YOU TO KEEP WRITING THESE POSTS–
I AM NOT GOOD AT SPEAKING MY MIND—I WOULD RATHER MY DOG DO IT FOR ME—-HA!!! I DO TEND TO HOLD THINGS IN—-AS I DO NOT WANT ANY ONE ANGRY AT ME—
I KNOW THERE ARE WAYS, THINGS CAN BE SAID—-LIKE YOU SAID–IN A KIND WAY—-IT IS SORT OF–WHAT TYPE OF TEMPERMENT -THE PERSON YOU ARE SAYING THEM TO—ARE—–
SOME PEOPLE CAN BE KIND BACK AND UNDERSTANDING—AND SOME PEOPLE—IMMEDIATELY FEEL LIKE THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED—!!!!!
SO I GUESS THE BOTTOM LINE—IS HOW YOU SAY IT–AND THE TYPE OF PERSON YOU ARE SAYING IT TO——!!!!!
    VERY INTERESTING SUBJECT——THANKS–FOR YOUR THOUGHTS—-

  4. IS THAT YOU BIG BLACK CAT—?
    SHE DOES LOOK WELL FED—–(‘-‘)

  5. Sometimes you can express your heart in the kindest way, try to improve or mend a fence, but there is no guarantee that you can change anything. You can certainly try, but the ultimate heart changer is God.

  6. I love my cat for the same reason. She doesn’t take bull from anyone and she doesn’t let the dog push her around. Her backbone is made of steel and I’ve learned a lot from her. ๐Ÿ™‚
